Experience and Achievements
Aaron Calkins was appointed as chief of staff on Jan. 20, 2025. Prior to beginning this position he served as chief of staff for Congressman Eric Burlison (MO-07). Previously, Calkins served as chief of staff, Office of the Director at USCIS, as well as deputy assistant secretary, Office of Legislative Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security and as chief, Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at USCIS. Calkins previously served as legislative director and counsel for U.S. Congressmen Andy Biggs (AZ-05) and Raul R. Labrador (ID-01).
Education
Calkins has a B.A. in German, secondary education from Boise State University and a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law.
