Jessica Dumas is the acting chief of the Office of the Executive Secretariat (EXSO). She began this detail on Jan. 26, 2025. Previously she served as the deputy chief and chief of staff of EXSO.
Before joining EXSO in 2021, she held a variety of positions within USCIS, including senior advisor to the USCIS Director’s Office and chief of staff at the Administrative Appeals Office between 2013 and 2021. Dumas began her federal career in 2007 at the Arlington Asylum Office serving as an asylum officer, quality assurance trainer, supervisor, and deputy director.
She is a graduate of the DHS Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program in 2019 and received her Senior Executive Service Certification in 2020. She received the USCIS Director’s Award as Manager of the Year in 2023.
