Experience and Achievements
Before her appointment, Ms. Coleman served as the director for senior official investigations with the Office of the Naval Inspector General (NAVINSGEN), U.S. Department of the Navy (DON). In this role, she was responsible for administrative investigations into allegations of misconduct involving flag officers and members of the Senior Executive Service with the DON. Prior to her tenure as the director for senior official investigations, Coleman served as a key member of the NAVINSGEN leadership, serving in the capacities of deputy director for the Special Inquiries Division, deputy director for the Resources Management Division, and director (acting) for the former Investigations Division.
Education
A native Washingtonian, Coleman earned her bachelors of science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and master’s degree from Georgetown University. Coleman earned her Inspector General Credentials from the Association of Inspectors General, the Department of Defense Joint Inspector General School, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. She is also a graduate of the USDA Graduate School Center for Leadership and Management Executive Leadership Program.
