U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in coordination with the U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), invited interested refugee resettlement agencies and affiliates to participate in a webinar on Wednesday, May 18, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern) regarding how refugees can access state and local benefits.
During this webinar, representatives from USCIS, DOS and ORR provided an overview of the following areas:
- Key documents
- State and local benefits offered during the initial resettlement period
- SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements)
