Seattle Community Relations
The Seattle District is involved in many community and outreach efforts. Here are some of our on-going activities that are vital to maintaining open lines of communication with the communities we serve:
Community Relations Committee (CRC) – This committee has met on a monthly basis since 1985. Members of the committee represent the diverse communities that the Seattle District serves.
A second CRC was implemented in Yakima in 1998.
Committee activities include: bringing to the attention of District personnel any INS issues creating concern within the communities; distribution of immigration information; and hosting seminars to educate the public on immigration matters.
