Guidance for Certain Ukrainian Nationals and Their Immediate Family Members to Maintain Parole and Employment Authorization
On Jan. 7, 2025, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security updated its guidance for certain Ukrainian nationals and their immediate family members to maintain parole and employment authorization through the re-parole process, including:
- Changing the way parolees request an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) during the re-parole process after Oct. 11, 2024; and
- Explaining how the Social Security Administration will process new requests for Social Security numbers and cards depending on how a parolee requests their EAD.
