Employment Authorization Request
Individuals will be able to request employment authorization on the new edition of Form G-325A. If a noncitizen requests employment authorization using Form G-325A, the noncitizen must submit the fee required for the Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. If a noncitizen cannot pay the filing fee, they may request a fee waiver in writing or by filing the Form I-912, Request for Fee Waiver. Additional information is available on the fee waiver page.
If USCIS does not grant the deferred action request, we will deny the related employment authorization request. We will not issue refunds.
Social Security Card Request
A noncitizen will have the ability to request a Social Security number through the new edition of Form G-325A. If USCIS approves the noncitizen’s request for employment authorization and the noncitizen completed the section on the application to request a Social Security card, then USCIS will send the Social Security Administration the data needed to issue the noncitizen a Social Security card.
Separate Written Statement No Longer Required
The Form G-325A will now include a space for the noncitizen to explain the basis for their request for deferred action. A separate written statement is no longer required.
