Institute of Museum and Library Services Webinar: Combatting Human Trafficking
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited library and museum employees to participate in a webinar on Thursday, March 11, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern.
Subject matter experts from Blue Campaign shared information about anti-human trafficking efforts, and training and partnership opportunities, to highlight how libraries and museums can assist in protecting victims and help educate the public.
Blue Campaign is a national public awareness campaign, designed to train the public on how to recognize the indicators of human trafficking, and how to appropriately respond to possible cases.
Located within the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Partnership and Engagement, Blue Campaign leverages partnerships with the private sector, non-governmental organizations, law enforcement, and state/local authorities to maximize national public engagement on anti-human trafficking efforts.
This webinar is part of the federal partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide citizenship and immigration information to library and museum professionals.
