Overview of the Department of Justice Recognition and Accreditation Program
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited libraries and museums to participate in a webinar on July 18 from 2-3 p.m. (Eastern) to learn about the Department of Justice (DOJ) Recognition and Accreditation Program. Representatives from DOJ discussed how to request recognition and accreditation, which allows community organizations, including libraries, to provide free or low-cost legal services to immigrants.
A DOJ-recognized library shared their experience with the program, and the webinar concluded with a question-and-answer session.
