Register an Agency for SAVE
SAVE is an online information service that allows federal, state, territorial, tribal, and local government agencies that grant benefits or licenses to verify an applicant’s immigration status or naturalized/acquired U.S. citizenship.
Agencies who want to use SAVE must register and be approved by USCIS.
Are you a federal, state, territorial, tribal, or local government agency that grants benefits or licenses? And is your agency authorized by law to verify citizenship or immigration status in order to provide benefits or licenses?
You may be able to register for SAVE. If you believe your organization is eligible to register for SAVE, please see the How to Register for SAVE section below for more information.
Certain organizations with an existing relationship to one of the federal or state agencies listed below do not need to register directly with SAVE. Instead, the organization may be eligible to access SAVE through an existing agreement. To get information about accessing SAVE through these federal or state agencies, see the instructions in the sections below.
Armed Forces Recruitment Command: For organizations seeking to verify citizenship and immigration status for U.S. military service.
U.S. Department of Education: For educational institutions processing Title IV assistance applications.
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): For Public Housing Agencies and participants in the Multi-Family Rental Assistance Program.

Note: Agencies requesting information for law enforcement purposes can visit the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC) website for more information at https://www.ice.gov/lesc. The LESC serves as single, national point-of-contact, providing real-time assistance to federal, state, territorial, tribal and local law enforcement agencies regarding noncitizens suspected, arrested, or convicted of criminal activity.
